Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it currently submitted to another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

The submission file uses the template provided in the Author Guidelines.

The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
Instructions for authors
The journal accepts original manuscripts in English which mustn’t be previously published or currently submitted for publication elsewhere. The length of the paper is 5,000–8,000 words, including references (i.e., works cited), tables, and footnotes. Each contribution includes an abstract of 250 words maximum and 5–8 key words.
The authors are responsible for standard use of the English language and proofreading. The journal does not provide linguistic advisory or proofreading services.
The papers are submitted electronically in the online submission system OJS in the following format (see the template):
- editable “word” formats (.doc, .docx, .odt)
- the chapters are structured in decimal grading (1 > 1.1 > 1.1.1 > 2)
- all examples are numbered in sequential order, the graphics (tables, charts, pictures) are identified by numbering and titles
- references to sources and quotations follow the Chicago Manual of Style (CMS, 17th ed.), the Author-Date system; for further details and examples consult PIEL Citation Manual
- all sources cited in the text must be included in the section “Works Cited” with complete bibliography, conforming to the CMS style
